Super hotel and an excellent location. Did not expect it to be so great. There's a beautiful park in front, behind it the Bordallo ceramic factory store and plenty of pottery/sculpture museums (all of them free or almost free). On the city agenda that week there was free outdoor theatre (very nice, Gil Vicente, the "Portuguese Shakespeare") in front of the church yard, there were free concerts in the D. Carlos park and fado at the cultural center CCC. Next to the hotel: a shopping center helpful for any ammenity missing in our luggage. Plenty of free parking spaces nearby. And well connected to nearby cities of interest (Óbidos, Ourém, Batalha, Alcobaça, Nazaré, Leiria, Marinha Grande, Fátima). The hotel was calm, classy, clean, good breakfast, confortable beds, relaxed terrace & lounge corners, helpful staff.

Staff are very friendly and always available to help, and quick to help with anything. Location is good Beds have lots of different pillows to suit everyone. Shower pressure is very good, and also having a bath is great. Parking onsite - but need to get a ticket stamp each time you want to leave, or they give you a plastic pass. Safe in garage. Nice coffee and water in the room (but only on the first night) Chef at the restaurant is superb! Highly recommend even if it is a little pricey. AC works great. Breakfasts are a buffet and has a very nice wide selection of food. And the staff got a lunch for me as I missed breakfast to leave for the airport - so nice! And it was lovely to eat that instead of the airport or plane food.

Lorraine

The hotel served as a luxurious base from which to explore Obidos and the nearby beaches. Each day started with a delicious and hearty breakfast, and the bus and train stations were easy 10-minute and 15-minute walks away, respectively. The safe and charming Dom Carlos Park across the street from the hotel quickly became an early morning and late evening respite. (And there is a mall and food court next to the hotel for all your travel needs.)

Robert

The breakfast buffet was large and varied. Vegetarian and vegan selections also. But the best thing about this hotel is the superfriendly and helpful staff. We were there to take care of someone, not a vacation. They accommodated everything we needed and went beyond extraordinary measure to help. Next to a small mall with shops and grocery store.

Barbara

Breakfast was OUTSTANDING. Location across from a beautiful large park and central to other towns we visited was perfect. We weren't sure about the parking at first since you have to park in a shopping mall underground parking lot, but it ended up being super easy process and just behind the hotel.
